Terms of Service

Effective date: 8 October 2026 · Operated by Qovox ("we", "us"). Contact: qovox222@gmail.com

By creating an account, generating a license key, or using the Qovox OCR website, dashboard or SDK (together, the "Service"), you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.

1. The Service

Qovox OCR is a JavaScript SDK and web dashboard for extracting text and structured data from images and PDFs in the browser. Recognition runs on the end user's device. We provide license keys, a license-verification API, usage quotas and an account dashboard.

2. Accounts

3. Licence and license keys

Subject to these terms and to payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the SDK in the websites and applications at the domains listed on your license key, within your plan's limits.

4. Plans, limits and payment

Plans (Free, Pro, Enterprise), their prices and their limits (license keys, domains, pages per month) are shown on the pricing page and may be adjusted by us for future periods. Paid plans are billed in advance for the period shown, either through our payment provider or by arrangement with us. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires or we state otherwise in writing. If you exceed your plan's limits, license checks may be refused until the next period or until you upgrade. You can cancel at any time; your plan then ends at the close of the paid period.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to break the law or others' rights, to process material you have no right to process, to attack, overload or probe our systems, to attempt to access other users' data, or to distribute malware. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and any needed consent when your application processes other people's documents and personal data.

6. Your content and data

Documents scanned with the SDK stay on the user's device and we do not receive them. You keep all rights in your documents and in the results extracted from them. You give us permission to process the account and licensing data needed to run the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Accuracy of results

OCR is probabilistic. Results can contain errors, especially with low-quality images, handwriting, unusual fonts or some languages. Confidence scores are indicators, not guarantees, and extracted fields (such as passport, ID or invoice values) must be checked before you rely on them for legal, financial, identity or safety-related decisions. You are responsible for human review where it matters.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted operation. The SDK is designed to keep working if our license server is unreachable. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, with reasonable notice where practical.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts or keys that breach these terms, create risk or legal exposure, or remain unpaid. On termination your right to use the SDK under the licence ends.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, the SDK code, the Qovox name, logo and branding belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

11. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or business, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim arose (or USD 100 if you use a free plan). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Indemnity

You will defend and compensate us against claims and costs arising from your breach of these terms or from the documents and data your application processes with the SDK, to the extent permitted by law.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows the latest version. If a change is material we will give notice on the website or by email, and continued use after it takes effect means you accept it.

15. General

These terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent. The laws that apply, and the courts that may hear a dispute, are those of the country where Qovox is established, unless mandatory consumer law in your country says otherwise.
